mothers day

A few weeks ago when deseret book sent out their ad that had things in it for mothers day i saw this picture and laughingly told ben that is what i wanted for mothers day- but mostly it was a joke because it was expensive and we have a tight budget- anyhow for mothers day this year gracie and ben surprised me with this beautiful picture- it was such a surprise i cried- i love this picture and the words 'for this child i prayed' anyhow it has special meaning to me and i just loved that my husband saved his pennies and got it for me - thanks ben

surprise party

Well Mom turned 50 this year and so we decided to have a surprise party for her- a week late- that really made it a surprise because her birthday had already come and gone before we did it!

Anyhow it was a lot of fun everyone drove down for it - and i took mom out shopping while everyone else decorated the house- ben and alex borrowed the neighbors air compressor and filled up about 200 balloons and then ben found this net and had them all tied up to the ceiling so that when mom walked in the kitchen he pulled the net and the balloons fell down on her- it was a lot of fun- anyhow after that we went to chuck e cheese- yes us grownups did- and we had pizza and games - we had three contests- one was who could win the most tickets with one token, melanie won - another we had a skee ball tournament which dad won and then we also had a basketball shootout and alex one that - anyhow we had medals for the winners to wear- it was lot of fun and we ended up being their for about three hours

then we came home and chelsea had made this delicious cake - as seen above- anyhow it was lot of fun

my princess

Gracie loves dress up and everytime we go to grandma andersons house she pulls out our old dance costumes and puts them on!! - i just loved these pictures

animal crackers

Gracie is in dance class this year and the song that they are dancing/singing to is animal crackers- she loves this song!! everywhere we go she sings it so here is a preview of her singing

also i am sorry i could not figure out how to flip the video -so it is crooked- but we were mostly going for sound so that is ok

valentines day

Gracie loves our neighbor Gabe- and vise versa- they always talk about getting married and all sorts of things that probably will never happen but are cute anyway! - anyhow after i explained to gracie that we give valentines to people we love - she was very insistant that gabe got one- so we went to the store and she picked pink barbie valentines for gabe- thinking of him i am sure- anyhow then we came home and because we are practicing writing her letters she had to write to gabe and from gracie- without any help!

well it is really hard to see but gracie wrote this valentine to gabe all by herself- the letters are all there- anyhow i did laugh though because gabe looked at it for less then a second before tearing into and eating the candy! but at least i got a picture of gracies half an hour of hard work for her special friend gabe

One afternoon gracie was bored and so her and ben were taking funny pictures with the computer- it made me laugh- gracie just loved them

writing letters

Well i have been trying to help gracie write her letters and her attention spand is about 5 minutes- so mom had this good idea to try and have her practice in pudding - anyhow so i spread out some wax paper and plopped some pudding on the table - needless to say -it was a great success - gracie loved being able to write a letter and then lick her figure clean- although after about 25 minutes it had regressed down to just doodling and licking fingers - but still it was a lot of fun!
